Anyone can attach a reward pool of $BASIN to a post: their own when they post it or later, or someone else's (a “boost”). The tokens go into Basin's pool contract on Robinhood Chain. After 24 hours the pool is split between the people who engaged with the post while it was open (for a boost, after it was funded), according to the rules in the Docs. In short:
- Each kind of engagement is worth points; your share is your points divided by everyone's.
- Engagement counts in full once you've linked X, are Verified, or hold at least 100,000 $BASIN; otherwise it counts at 0.1×. Holding $BASIN and being Verified add multipliers, up to 4× in total.
- The person who made the post can't earn from pools on it, and whoever funded a boost can't earn from that boost.
- If nobody eligible engages, the whole pool goes back to whoever funded it. Rewards nobody claims within 30 days go back to the funder too. Basin never takes a cut of a pool.
Funding a pool is a transfer, not a purchase. You're giving tokens to the people who engage, not buying reach, promotion, or any result. We don't guarantee how many people will see or engage with a post.
Rewards aren't wages or a promise. Earning from a pool depends on other people funding pools and on these rules. We can change the rules, weights, multipliers, and requirements at any time; changes apply to pools that haven't paid out yet. We may withhold, cancel, or reverse rewards linked to fraud, manipulation, a bug, or a breach of these Terms, to the extent the contract allows.
